Parts & Equipment Sales Counterperson

In this role you will work from the sales counter helping customers with all their parts and equipment needs. We sell a wide range of products including brands like: STIHL, EXMARK, GRAVELY, SCAG, TORO, HONDA and more! Knowledge of these brands and types of outdoor power equipment and zero turn mowers would be helpful with this position. Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Building rapport, understanding needs, answering questions, and presenting product value.
  • Sales & Negotiation: Demonstrating products, explaining features, handling objections, and closing sales.
  • Relationship Management: Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients for repeat business and referrals.
  • Meeting Targets: Consistently working to achieve monthly or quarterly sales goals.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, presentation abilities.
  • Interpersonal: Strong relationship-building and listening.
  • Drive: Highly motivated, target-driven, resilient, and persistent.
  • Organization: Good time management, prioritization, and planning.
  • Technical: Familiarity with CRM software, illustrated parts diagrams, and basic office tools.
  • Education/Experience: Varies, but often a high school diploma or relevant experience in sales/customer service.

Work Environment

  • Retail settings (standing, assisting in-store).
  • Hours: Monday – Friday 7:45am – 5:30pm (40 plus hours a week guaranteed)
  • Annual salary from $45K or more based upon experience.
